This awesome Italian restaurant opened its doors in 2000 to instant success, and over a decade later continues to bring exceptional cuisine to Philadelphia residents at very reasonable prices. The interior of the restaurant recently enjoyed a full makeover, giving it a bright, airy appearance that still gives diners privacy. Service is attentive and helpful without being overbearing. But the real draw of Radicchio Café is the food, which is top-notch. For dinner, start with the wonderful grilled octopus for an appetizer, or try the warm buffalo Mozzarella with grilled zucchini, fresh tomato, and oil and vinegar. Entrees are a diverse lot, with some favorites including the exceptional pastas. Try the pacchieri al telefono, made with house-made wine rigatoni, meatballs, tomato sauce, and mozzarella. The rigatoni Toto in a pink vodka sauce with prosciutto is also great. If you finish your meal and you’re still hungry for dessert, diners claim that the tiramisu here is the best in town.
