Even if museums aren’t really your thing, make sure to check out The Franklin Institute’s newest exhibit, Cleopatra: The Search for the Last Queen of Egypt. Unraveling the mystery of one of history’s most powerful women, the Cleopatra exhibit, gives visitors an inside view of the search for Cleopatra and her empire—through treasures uncovered during two ongoing expeditions that have led explorers from the Egyptian desert to the depths of the Mediterranean Sea. From everyday objects found in the city of Alexandria to findings from Cleopatra’s royal palace and two ancient cities that were lost beneath the ocean for centuries, the exhibit showcases incredible artifacts that have never been seen before. The history is breathtaking, and can be viewed at The Franklin Institute until January 2, 2011. Click here to purchase tickets.
