Since 1996, volunteers across the region have participated in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, helping to spread Dr. King’s message of equality, and working together to make our world a better place. Last year, 65,000 volunteers served in over 900 projects! This year, on Monday, January 18th, Philadelphia-area participants can once again take part in a variety of programs, from volunteering at local animal shelters and hosting a Philadelphia READS Book Drive to donating blood to the American Red Cross and helping to create “cuddle quilts” for homeless children. No donation of your time or resources is too small.
