A visit to Franklin Fountain takes you back to a time when Philadelphians would gather around the soda fountain to enjoy their favorite ice cream treat. Brothers Ryan and Eric Berley paid precise attention to detail when they designed the space in a historic building in the heart of the Old City, complete with an antique marble bar, period brass fixtures and whirring ceiling fans. Stop in to sample their homemade ice cream in a myriad of creamy flavors. Try a delightful treat like the Rose Blossom Sundae with red wine cake, cherry almond butter ice cream, hot fudge, and meringue. Espresso drinks, hot chocolate, milkshakes, and pastries are also on hand.
True to the era of its inspiration, Franklin Fountain doesn't take credit or debit cards, so be sure to visit an ATM on the way!
